As of 21.07.2024, we exported 275.699,- tons of hazelnut. In the 2022/2023 season, the same time export was 277.982,- tons, in the 2021/2022 season same time export was 317.298.- tons, as can be seen in the graphic.
On 15.08.2023, crop 2023 prices for 11-13mm natural hazelnut kernels started at the level of 6.000 USD/tons (5.460 Euro/tons). Today, 11-13mm natural hazelnut kernel prices for DDU Europe delivery are 7.940 USD/Ton (7.320 Euro/tons) levels.
The countdown has begun for the crop 2024. Starting this weekend, hazelnut picking will begin gradually in the orchards. However, real harvesting will start after the first week of August. The Ministry of Agriculture and Exporters’ Associations announced their crop estimations. You can see the related tables below.
According to our studies, high temperatures that are above the seasonal average in the Western Black Sea Region will negatively affect the yield. The fact that the climate data in the Central and Eastern Black Sea region was not at the desired level during the fertilization period, caused increasings of the empty kernel rate. After the hazelnuts come out of the “Patos” machines, we will most probably to talk about different things about the yield.
