President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced purchase prices of hazelnuts for the year 2021 as Levant quality TL 26,5/kg and Giresun quality TL 27/kg, based on 50 percent yield. The prices announced by TMO were realized in the same line with our market forecasts. For this reason, it seems that we will not make any increase or decrease in our daily prices for crop 2021, except for the USD/TL currency difference.
Harvesting of new crop hazelnuts has just begun as of 07.08. in the coastal areas and on 12.08. in the central areas. This date has been determined as 20.08. for the higher areas. In order to speak clearly about product quality, we need to wait for the products to be blended and dried. For this reason, it is extremely important that the sunny weather for the coming days.
